Frequently Asked Questions
what is the dr. martin luther king jr. holiday breakfast?
The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Breakfast began in 1991 when the UNCF Twin Cities and General Mills joined together to host a celebration honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event aims to inspire individuals to live out Dr. King’s message of unity within our communities and beyond.
Since 2017, the event has also raised funds to support the UNCF Twin Cities and their mission to assist underrepresented students in accessing and completing college, as well as attending historically Black colleges and universities.
This year, we’re excited to celebrate 35 years of bringing people together for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Breakfast.
